Social Competitions
At Sylvania Par 3, we run a wide variety of social competitions that will suit everyone, regardless of your age, ability, or level of fitness.
• The “Sunday Morning Social Comp” has been established 15 years. This group of very social players hit off at 7.15am or 7.45am each alternate Sunday (18 & 9 holes respectively). Although very social, they are quite serious with A & B Grade Championships, putting comps and weekly NTP prizes. This competition is always looking for new members.
• The “Ladies Midweek Competition” happens every Wednesday, 8.30am to 12 midday, and caters for all grades of women players. Come and enjoy the company of these very friendly ladies who play 18 holes (with a “half-time” cuppa and biscuits) each week. They are always welcoming new members.
• The “Tuesday Teachers Twilight Comp” is a new competition starting February 2009. It is a chance for the teaching fraternity to come and unwind with a friendly game (or competition) of golf, a few drinks and BBQ as soon as school’s out on a Tuesday!
George, our resident coach (also a teacher) is keen to get this up and running.
• The "Friday Arvo Chook Run" is for workers that would like to slip away Friday arvos, play a quick round of golf, then relax with a cold one and tell a few lies around the BBQ with mates and fellow workers. Lots of prizes!
• Form Your Own Competition! Bring your team, mates, work colleagues or anyone else and form your own comp. We will supply prizes and use of BBQ area for free!
